DBT stands for Dialectical Behavior Therapy and was created by Dr. Marsha Linehan in the 1980s. DBT is a highly structured, skills-based therapy that helps people manage their emotions, improve relationships, tolerate stress, and live more mindfully. DBT is an evidence-based therapy for borderline personality disorder (BPD), suicidal thinking, anxiety, depression, addiction, eating disorders, and more.

We begin every week with a mindfulness exercise, followed by homework review, and then we dive into the psychoeducational skills lesson for the week. We end the group by assigning homework for everyone to practice their skills. We will go over all 4 DBT modules (mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation). Group members will need to purchase the DBT handouts and worksheets book ($50 on Amazon), which we will refer to for homework and lessons.
Each 90 minute group costs $150. Group members are expected to attend all 25 group sessions, totaling $3,750 over the course of about 6 months. Group members are charged after each group. No lump sum required.
Yes, phone coaching, sometimes referred to as phone consultation, is available to all group members enrolled in the virtual DBT group.
Phone coaching in DBT means that all DBT group members are able to call their group therapist throughout the week on an as-needed basis to help them use and understand DBT skills. Skills coaching sessions are brief, 15-20 minute phone calls focused on helping clients learn and apply DBT skills effectively in their lives.
Skills coaching is available 24/7. Group members can reach out to the group therapist via text, phone call, or email to set up a time for skills coaching. The DBT therapist usually responds to requests within a few hours.
No. Phone coaching is not appropriate for emergencies. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please dial 911 or 988 or go to your nearest emergency room or crisis center.

Learn skills to help you live your best, most balanced life with mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation DBT skills.

Get support from peers who have been there along with a licensed psychotherapist trained in DBT skills coaching.

You don't have to leave the comfort and convenience of your own home with our virtual DBT skills group.

DBT skills can help you live a life worth living when you're feeling stuck in repetitive cycles of thinking and behavior.
